From Melik village to Meghradzor village

Biking trail description
This trail is very promising with the natural panoramic views and biking extremal feelings. It starts from Melik village in Aragatsotn province and ends in Meghradzor village of Kotayk province. The trail has solid ground and drastic ascents. It passes through two provinces that is why has diverse climate and landscape.

Monuments description
On the way bikers may visit Ohanavank (monastery constructed 5-13 centuries) that is situated in Ohanavan and was considered as a favorite educational center for all Armenians. The next beautiful monument is Saghmosavank (monastery constructed in 13th century) in Saghmosavan village which is a very unique monastery complex with extraordinary ornaments. Another favorite destination is the alphabet boulevard located on the slopes of the Mount Aragats where are placed all the Armenian letters engraved from the tuff stone with unique ornaments.

Flora
Tsaghkunyats sierra is mainly forested. The climate is wet that is why the mountains are covered with oak, hawthorn, sesame trees. The village has soft climate that is why it is possible to meet wild apple and pear in the forests.

Fauna
This trail is full of adventures, as on the way the bikers can meet wolves, foxes, wild rabbits etc. The birds are forest and field loose, whale, quail, reindeer, woodpecker. Also, during hot season the snakes are also evident on the slopes of the mount.

The mobile connections of Ucom and Viva Cell-MTS functions with some interruptions. In case of emergency, call 911 or 112. Be aware of leashed-off dogs in the villages.
