El Paraiso-Villajoyosa-Finestrat-Around Castellet-Sella-Orxeta-Villajoyosa-El Paraiso

From Mas Scaracel we rode about 7 km down towards the Barranc del l'Arc valley towards Sella. The descent goes on a dirt road.

We rounded not only Monte Castellet but also the Alt de Tafarmaig.
The road Barranc del l'Arc is asphalted and we enjoyed the smooth tarmac.

When we began to see the cemetery in Sella it was time to turn towards El Alcantera. We bicycled over the old bridge, Font de l'Alcàntera, the last big climb towards Calfallonques.

After the bridge, we caught up with a shepherd with his goats and as it suited us well, we stopped for lunch we had brought with us. There is a fine place with benches to sit on.

After lunch, we were a bit tired so the last trail was tough. Luckily, it went on asphalt.

Shortly after the asphalt road ended, the road went through del Realet Barranc and turned to a gravel road. There was almost no wind so it was warm at this time of the day. After about 5 km, we came to the CV-758 between Finestrat and Orxeta. We followed the road about half a km and then turned right onto a gravel road again.

This is the dirt road through the Sella valley on the opposite side of Orxeta, towards Bella Orcheta. This part is about 4 km.
In Bella Orcheta we arrived to CV-770 where we turned right in direction against Orxeta. We passed the bridge and after the bridge we turned left and followed the pond of Rio Amadorio - Embassament de Amadorio. After about 3 km we passed the pond of the Embassament.

We bicycled against Polideportivo Maisa Lloret, but not all the way to it. After about half a kilometer we turned right and crossed the Rio Amadorio. After about 1 km, we went under the AP-7 motorway and after a further approximately, 1km we crossed the Rio Amadorio.

Approximately one and a half km later, we passed bellow N-332 and turned right towards the buildings Urbanizacion Plant. We passed a few streets and after about one and a half km we came to Villajoyosa Club de Fútbol and eventually to the old N-332 that runs through the city.

Here we turned right and after another approximately one kilometer we were back in the parking area outside the Camping Playa Paraiso where we started.

Home Sweet Home. We made it. Now to the beach!
