Itinerary description

Biking to the center of the Dolomites.
The "Tre Cime" or Drei Zinnen ist a must in the Dolomites although many people like you want to see it one time in his life it is worth to make his own experience. Be prepared to meet hundreds of people like you who want to see it.
I started at Schluderbach (Süd Tirol), a crossing road to Cortina d ´Ampezzo but you also can leave the car at Misurina and save 300 mts elevation. Both places are free of parking fee. There is a fee to come up by car to Tre Cime de lavadero (Drei Zinnen)
The way up is hard and steepy but with those beautifull views in front of you all the time you can do it better. The parking place at the Rif. di Lavadero is full of cars and lots of people walking around, but the further you go the less people you will find.
Aprox. between Ref. Lavadero and Ref. Locatelli there is a panel where you can read "cycling prohibited" and as I am a respetous persn I pushed the bike as long as I arrive at a track crossing where the Rienztal (Valle de la Rienza) beginns. There are few people walking on this area.
The descent by bike was the best of the last weeks in italian Alpes, the scenery left and right was more than nice and I learn to take more respect of Nature
Distancia: 28,7 kms
Tiempo en movimiento: 3,29
Ascenso: 1175 mts
