Itinerary description
This is the trail you do when the day before there was heavy rain and you know most trails around Atlanta will be closed. This trail in theory would be open because it is mainly gravel roads; not singletracks. When compared to the singletracks in the forest this will feel flat and monotonous but it's a decent distance, 30kms (20 miles or so) and it gives a very good workout.
This trail could be explored and considered for beginners and kids. The problem is that you are riding over roads and there will be cars. What I saw today is that they drive smoothly on these gravel roads but it is a problem if you consider taking kids.
To complete the trail there is also one portion over a normal road, and 3 or 4 real road crossings.
Parking is 5 USD.
