DCRVBB-23-TOURS-FROM SAVONNIERES TO CHATEAUX AZAY LE RIDEAU
Length: 58 km BIKE: Touring Acummulated elevation: 482 m.
Toute to go from Savonnieres to visit the Chateaux deAzay Le Rideau and the foret dominale de Chinon, next to Tours in Loire region of France.
DESCRIPTION
From Savonnieres you take secondary roads with no traffic to the road from Tours to Azay le Rideau. Then you take the main road, straight and with many traffic, but the road is very wide. Not entering to Azay, you take the other straight road to Chinon, also wide and with traffic. But this is very hilly, with some ups on downs. It crosses the foret Dominale de Chinon. Just in the middle, you turn left and take another straight road, this time secondary and almos with no cars.
At the end, you turn left and return do Azay le Rideau, this time crossing the city and passing beside the castle that you can visit.
After Azay, you go up the Indre river, till Pont de Ruan. Very exciting way with the river as a mate of trip. Very interesting to visit the working water mill of Pont de Ruan, and the landscape beside the river Indre.
The rest of the track is return to Savonniers with paved secondary roads, except the final part that crosses a forest with a narrow forest path.

DIFFICULTIES
Not difficult track, with a little traffic on the straight road from Tours to Chinon, and some slopes. The rest with no traffic, paved except for the last two kilometers.
