DCRVBB-20-TOURS-SAVONNIERES-LANGEAIS-CHATEAUX VILLLANDRY
Length: 35 km BIKE: Touring Acummulated elevation: 260 m.
Route around la Loire to visit the beautiful village of Lageais with its splendid castle. Then you return visiting the magnific chateaux of Villandry and some vineyards and coulored fields of the region.
DESCRIPTION
You start in Savonnieres to follow beside the river Cher till the confluence with la Loire. After many other kilometers through the peaceful paved road of the dam of protection from the river, you reach the beautiful stone bridge that leads to Lageais. In this village you can visit the impressive castle of the site.
The route returns to the river and returns on the other side, but separated from the river, crossing fields and forests with non paved paths and roads. You reach Villandry, where you can visit it's impressive castle with the huge gardens that are difficult to see from outside.
More local paved roads return to Savonnieres.

DIFFICULTIES
Very flat route. The road beside the rivers is paved, flat, over the damm and with no traffic. Other parts uses local roads with few traffic and some non paved paths witth no difficulty. The bridge crossing the Loire is perhaps the most dangerous with a little traffic.
