Itinerary description
Cycling - Loop from Bra through ups-and-downs in the Roero area.
Some steep but short uphill sections, max 18% grade.
Nice views over the hilly vineyards. All paved except for a brief exploration through the vineyards that required (at Km 14.5 of this track) to walk the bike downhill - 23% grade and muddy/sandy - for a few minutes to be back to "civilization".
Likewise the Langhe area south of here, the hilly territory is characterized by vineyards, hazelnut groves and perched towns and villages.
Monticello d'Alba has a nice castle - open for visits - origins of which date back to the 12th century.
