Itinerary description
Cycling - Rifugio Salvin loop from the parking lot in Monastero di Lanzo.
Good day out with friends with pic-nic in a bucolic environment.
The service/forest road going up to the rifugio, almost completely unpaved and rough in some points, is open to traffic but with just a few cars. Some short sections at 20% grade
Mostly shaded which was much appreciated.
About 2.5 Km before reaching the rifugio, the pretty hamlet of Marsaglia is worth a stop. Right before getting to it, on the right, a drinking fountain calls for another well deserved stop.
