Itinerary description
Cycling - The Tagliafuoco fire road requires moderate riding skills on loose rocks.
I tried a variant. If you like portage up a steep disastered hiking trail, then the section between waypoints A and B will do. Better stick to the normal route, then keep left at waypoint A and go west for 5 minutes then take the Tagliafuoco going northeast.
Soon after point B my chain snapped. Completion of the loop was mostly downhill but I had to walk 4 Km (2.5 mi) to overcome a few uphill sections. Never leave home without the chain tool and a spare link!
Total positive gain about 900 m (2,950 ft).
