Itinerary description

This route is covering two official tourist routes of the large and vast Pyŕatynśký National Park (Пирятинський НПП), situated along the Udaj river. The first part, dedicated to three more sections of the park, is here: https://de.wikiloc.com/routen-gravel-bike/cycling-around-kyiv-pyratynsky-national-park-57327916
The following route consists of two connected loops, the first part of them is taken from here: http://npp-p.org.ua/2014-06-19-12-07-19/2014-06-19-12-10-23/malovnychi-kraievydy-pyriatynshchyny . The main part of this loop crosses the Kukvyn tract - a large forest, surrounded by the Udaj and its boggy valley. The place is perfect for cycling, and in spring it is also covered by the carpet of various flowers.
The second part is based on this route: http://npp-p.org.ua/2014-06-19-12-07-19/2014-06-19-12-10-23/pam-iatky-pyriatynshchyny . It goes on the opposite bank of the Udaj, which is hilly and offering some good viewpoints on the river and the woods. The final point is an archaeological site of Ruś times - the walls of the fort Polksteń right on the bank of the river.
From here it is an about 25 km ride to the railway station Hrebinka, with a direct connection to Kýiv.
