Itinerary description
Mošnohirja (Мошногір'я) is a long and narrow ridge on the northern outskirts of the city of Cherkasy, separating the vast valley of the river Vilšanka (Вільшанка) from the Irdyń marshlands (Ірдинське болото). This is a very remarkable hilly terrain, covered by a wild dark forest with boggy and overgrown paths, so be ready to spend lots of effort here as well as to feed numerous mosquitos.
There main road from Myronivka railway station goes along the highways P-09 and P-10, but there is an alternative direct way through the villages, mainly by gravel roads. Between Martynivka and Horobijivka the 12km road is a very uncomfortable stone road.
