Itinerary description
Stunning views, amazing cycle paths, no cars and nature all around. Almost no asphalt, so a mountain bike is preferred. The slopes are never too steep, since the route is where the an old rail was.
Start near Via Cantore. From here, the route is straight forward until Dobbiaco. You will first pass two nice galleries separated by a bridge, lots of river sides, and forests. The highest peak for the trip is the Cimabanche, then the route is all downwards. Few km later, stop for a photo at Lake Dürrensee. Continue towards Dobbiaco, with another amazing viewsight of the Dobbiaco Lake. When Dobbiaco Town starts, you may follow the signs in order to go east or west. We took the right headed for San Candido, an easy route of about 4km.
For the return, you have to follow basically the same route. We decided to change the last part few chilometer from Cortina, in order to see the river from the other side. To do so, when headed for Cortina as soon as you complete the first Gallery, turn right in a somewhat hike, be aware here the steepness may require you to walk. You will "circumvent" the river, then follow route 201 and 401. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing the bridge had issue and we were not able to cross it, but we continue anyway in another stunning route (more wild than the cycle path), that eventually returned in the cycle path taken few hours before. Continue straight until you will reach Cortina again.

Ciao buonasera,
fattibile con gravel o meglio una mtb?
Grazie
Stefano
Ciao!
Ciao!
Grazie mille👍proverò
