A trail surrounded by remarkable trees runs through it and a small gazebo offers spectacular views of the river and the south shore. Walkers, do not be discouraged by the imposing cliff-top stairway that connects Tequenonday to the boardwalk! Station des Cageux: crossroads of services and observation At the western end of the promenade, the Ceux station offers the population a large gathering place. This station, which revolves around an old rehabilitated industrial wharf, derives its name from the nickname given to woodworkers in the 19th century. A marsh, an observation tower and a descent to the water allow to admire the river from all angles. A pedestrian path meanders along the river's edge, connecting the different stations to each other.

The tracel today The tall, long silhouette of the viaduct has dominated for a century the gentle landscape of the mouth of the Cap-Rouge River, with its picturesque houses in bright colors. Opinions are very divided on the aesthetics of the book. The most philosophers among the local residents say that since you have to live with him, you must find him handsome! Historians and visitors see it as a testimony to the know-how of former engineers and builders, and one of the most magnificent examples of industrial archeology monuments. Via Rail offers a connection between Quebec City and Montreal. We can still see trains passing on this site

This beautiful green corridor crosses four boroughs of Quebec City. The track, which is part of the Route verte 6, takes off in the borough of La Cité-Limoilou and lands softly in Shannon. After a short urban passage, it approaches a gentle slope gradually leading cyclists to the foothills of the Laurentian Massif. As you gain altitude, panoramic views of downtown Quebec City follow one another. To catch your breath and observe these landscapes, you have a large choice of rest areas scattered all along the trail. Over the miles, you will discover a beautiful forest of hardwoods. In Wendake, a quaint and proud Huron village, a superb hotel borders the trail (see Our Findings). In this island of greenery, the Railway Corridor makes its way to the Jacques-Cartier River, a vigorous stream that flows from the Laurentian hills to the St. Lawrence River. While here ends the trail of the Railway Corridor, that of the Vélopiste Jacques-Cartier / Portneuf begins.

Boulevard François de Laval junction Boulevard Sainte-Anne The Beauport River is a two-speed river: fast in the upstream where the slope is more pronounced and slow for the most part downstream where meanders characterize its course. The rounded sinuosities of the river are regular and they testify to its constant evolution. Indeed, the river has evolved over time due to the different erosion agents and the dynamics of the river. This is why the journey we are experiencing today is not identical to that of the past. The profile of its evolution is also observable with the alternation of concave and convex banks, abandoned meanders (swamps), low-water channels and floodplains (CVRB, 2005).

Montmorency district One of the most charming neighborhoods of the capital remains unknown to most residents of the region. Victim of poorly planned urbanization, Montmorency is at a crossroads. Small trip to a village in the heart of the city. At the crossroads of nostalgia and a possible renewal. "It's like a terra incognita. People do not come here. That's why it's forgotten, so it's a beautiful neighborhood to discover. In his early fifties, Marc-André Careau spent his life in Montmorency. Active in the neighborhood council and different organizations, he knows all the secrets and little stories. Corridor du Littoral bike path - Quebec Green Road # 5 along the St. Lawrence, Old Quebec
