Itinerary description
Climbing the long but beautiful Colle de Sampeyre. The first half has the benefit of shade from tall trees. Towards the top there are some steep sections. Yet anyone with mountain bike gearing or reasonable fitness can easily reach the top.
When you get to the top; you can turn to the right or left along an old military road to see more of the stunning views. Come in the autumn or midweek to avoid the crowds and stifling heat.
