COL DE ROUSSET (VERCORS) 02-10-2014

Se sale desde la estación de esquí del col de Rousset (1220 mts/altura entre los pueblos de La Chapelle en Vercors y Die) en primer lugar atravesando el tunel, 750 mts de largo, bien iluminado y autorizado a bicicletas. Nada mas salir de éste, se toma la primera pista que veamos a mano derecha y que se convierte un poco después en una especie de calzada romana. Las vistas ya comienzan a ser impresionantes, pasamos un bosque y llegamos al cabo de unos 15 minutos de pedaleo a unas campas desde las cuales la panorámica se amplía y podemos ver una parte del parque regional del Vercors. Seguimos subiendo, no sin esfuerzo, al lado de acantilados de roca caliza que nos obligan a menudo a bajar de la bici para disfrutar la panorámica que va cambiando constantemente. Empezamos a descender y nos introducimos por bosque con sendero técnico de bajada, alternando con campas. Todo una maravilla. Otra vez en el bosque iremos alternando pequeñas campas pastorales con bosque y pasaremos por delante de dos refugios -a unos 300 mts después del último- encontraremos una fuente de agua.
A partir de aquí, será casi todo disfrutar pedaleando por bosque de hayas ,arces, coníferas y castaños. Cuando yo pasé entrado el otoño,era una maravilla con el colorido de las hojas en todo su esplendor. Subimos por pista aproximadamente 3/4 de hora que se hacen eternos pero que pronto olvidaremos por la bajada estupenda que nos espera... para volver a subir y sufrir por un PR balizado en bosque mixto y para ser recompensados ya al final, por acabar bajando otra vez al punto de partida.
El Vercors , para el que no lo conozca, comentar que es una maravilla y tiene amplísimas posibilidades, tanto para escalada, senderismo o bicicleta de carretera o montaña. Me recordaba (comparaciones odiosas,sí) un poco a los Picos de Europa.
La ruta es una mezcla de belleza pintada, paisajes dispares y vistas sorprendentes, un poco técnica, no muy larga ni dura, todo dependiendo de cada uno claro. En fin, de esas que dejan a uno feliz al acabarla. Curiosidad: no pasaremos por ningún pueblo en todo el recorrido.

We start from the ski resort of the cabbage of Rousset (1220 mts / height between the villages of The Chapelle in Vercors and Die) first of all crossing the tunnel (750 mts, long quite illuminated and authorized to bicycles). After going out of this one, we take the first track that we see to right hand and that turns a little later into a species of roman roadway. The scenic begins to be already impressive, we ride through a forest and come after ca. 15 minutes from riding to an open field with splendid view and we can see a part of the regional park of the Vercors. We keep on rising, not without effort, next to cliffs of lime rock that force us to go down often the bike to enjoy the panorama that is changing constantly. We begin descending and interfere for forest with technical descent footpath, alternating with open fields..wonderful!. Again in the forest we will find two from two refuges and approximately 300 mts after the last one - we will find a water source. From here, we will be enjoy pedalling throught forest of beeches, maples, conifers and chestnut-trees. When I was there still was autumn, it was a marvel with the coloring of the sheets in all its splendor. We keep on the track approximately 3/4 of hour that seems to be eternal but soon we will forget all that for the marvelous descent that waits for us. . . to rise again and suffers for a PR for a while, and ending up by going down again to the starting point. The Vercors, for which it does not know it, to mention that it is a marvel and has the widest possibilities, so much for climb, treking or mountain bike. It remembered me (odious comparisons, yes) a little to the Peaks of Europe in Spain
The route has all included, is not to long and plenty of beauty, nice scenery and surprising , a little technical, quite depending on each one. Anyway, something that feels you happy finishing it. Curiosity: we won ´t see any villages in the whole trip.
