Itinerary description
This guided tour starts directly from the station on the bikes. We follow rough steeply inclined agricultural roads and have a steady climb all the way to the village of Menetes. Here we have a great view of the main village of the Island, Pigadia. We then head inland and cross over to the west side of the island, the winding dirt road takes us through some spectacular scenery with beautiful views over the west side of the island and the neighboring island of Kasos. We link up to the main asphalt road and enter the graphic village of Piles, we ride right through the village and enter a pine-forest where we again get onto agricultural roads and here we have a long downhill ride, sometimes over tricky terrain. This takes down to the main coastal road on the west of the Island. We head back south towards the village of Arkassa on a pretty flat road enjoying the sight and aroma of the sea. We ride straight through Arkassa and head for Agios Thodoros where we stop for a well-earned swim and then enjoy a delicious meal at the quaint taverna right on the point. It is then an easy and short ride back to the station to complete our tour.
