Itinerary description
Starting at Cercedilla train station at about 1100m and constant uphill for the first 23 km or so. Peaking on La Bola del Mundo at about 2250m. (At the top it was very windy and cold).
Most of the climbing on tarmac or good gravel roads (w. exception of Camino Schmid which was technical singletrack with lots of rocks and roots - good fun but quite flowie).
From the top of the Bola the rest is all downhill. Very rough and loose at the beginning. Then onto La Tuberia. Rough at first with lots of "baby heads" (loose rocks :) - but soon turns into a fantastic fast singletrack through the pine forest. Then alterning gravel roads and really good singletracks down to the Embalse Navacerrada (dam) and further down to Ruta Adesgam which runs semi-paralell to the M617 all the way down to El Boalo.
The first half of the route is quite tough as its constantly uphill. But the hard work is well worth it, both for the views from the top and the long downhill.
