I tried a version of this route (starting from Modica) earlier today. The path became feint at 36.78148° N, 14.86431° E, and when I reached 36.77842° N, 14.85875° E there was no sign of it at all – the GPS track headed straight across a wheat field. But when I look on Google Earth I see a clear vehicular track. So maybe the wheat is newly planted, or maybe it’s seasonal. But I had no choice but to turn back.
