Itinerary description
A fine ride from the Madres-Coronat site. A long climb on a gravel road followed by a fun descent with lots of technical challenges (generally S2). Route-finding is easier than on a lot of the Madres-Coronat trails, though the beginning – a grassy footpath – is a little tentative.
The ascent passes through Evol, an attractive village (une des 500 plus belles...).
Don’t be put off by glimpses of an intimidating track on the other side while you’re on the climb: they aren’t part of the route. The descent switches from side to side of the stream to follow the best terrain. It joins the road at Evol and then leaves it for the final section, less technical but slightly en corniche.
