Builyan to Kalpowar

Bike ride from Builyan to Kalpowar through the 6 Tunnels. Several bridges between Builyan and Golumbil require dismounting and pushing the bike bdown through the creek bed and up on the other side which takes some time and energy. Past the free camp at Golumbil is 1 more bridge/ creek crossing. The track has a steady incline with several beautiful lookouts before reaching the first tunnel after about 7 km. The first tunnel has lots of micro bats which were flying around in the afternoon- quite an experience! From Golumbil to the end of the track at Barrimoon took about 2 hours, including photo stops. The descent back to Golumbil provides great sunset scenery in the afternoon while enjoying the comfortable ride downhill. If you have to ride back to Builyan you will have to repeat the up and down at the bridges again which becomes quite exhausting. Only the last part on the way back to Builyan you have the chance to ride on the road to make the trip back easier and faster.
