Itinerary description
We start on the parking place before Bohinjska Bistrica, which is still free of charge. Then we ride by the biking trail till Brod village. At the village end we turn right and ride steeply up by a rugged cart-road. reaching the Senožeti plateau, we ride across it till the roads branching, where the bikers rest point stands. Then we start descending on the other side. On the first branching we keep left, staying on the bike trail. Then we continue westwards, all the way to Studor village, where we hit the main road.
After passing Studor, it's possible to continue by the bike trail, but it's much faster to stay on the main road. We descend quickly to Stara Fužina and through the village to the Bohinj lake. It's worth riding to the shore to take a rest or even a swim. Then we continue to the church of St. John (Sv. Janez) to view the iconic place.
For the return, it's recommended to ride back towards the village of Stara Fužina till the first bridge. There we turn right, cross the Mostnica river and continue by the nice bike trail. It follows all the time the Sava river (by the left bank), so finally we close the loop in the Brod village, from where we just continue till the starting parking place.
