Itinerary description
Departs from Necowa; how cool is it to start right riding it from the cabin... Trails has a short intense climb up to the ring loop, then takes left... for a nice flowy warm up for a few kms down to the Aska Trails car park and then , surprised when I did as I had not looked into it... , you would do about 10 kms on roads. this on a Friday at 8:50 am... no cars. It's ok to ride a road once in a while... by the river fiduciary to the lake and really pleasant area to do a smooth road ride... it all ends around the Fall Branch Falls (nice to visit too!) and then the real stuff begins.... the climb for the next MANY kms is .... looooooong, and tough and rooty/techy.... hard to keep a rythm and a good number of walk-a-bikes.... but you make it to the top and then the descent is deeeeeeeep and fun and technical and rocky/rooty turns and few doable drops and keep eyes up there to see what s coming type of downhill.. wonderful.
this trail could do an inner loop that would add more climb-and-fun to it and would take the total to around 30kms. I did not take this and was happy with my 25kms -ish that day.
