Itinerary description
A relatively easy and fun mountain bike loop from Jyrgalan village.
This route makes a detour from the standard Birch Grove Loop route to visit Tulpar Tash (Horse Rock). It is said that Manas rode his horse off the rock, jumping into battle and scaring the invading Chinese away. You can still see the horse footprints on the rock. The first section of the detour up to Tulpar Tash is quite steep and rocky, but don't worry if you have to get off and walk it's by far the hardest part of the route. You could skip it if you want an easier ride, but it's well worth the effort though, as the views from up on the plateau where Tulpar Tash sits are fantastic.
After visiting Tulpar Tash the route rejoins the traditional Birch Grove Loop. It's a nice jeep track through the forrest before looping back to Jyrgalan on the road.
