Itinerary description
A great loop that gives the mountain biker some of the best aspects of the Jura. This route takes in the forest rides above St Oyens following the horse trails through the woods coming out by the shooting range. Its then a long climb up to chalet at La Neuve from where you ride an amazing fast downhill path through open alpine meadows to the road. Riding past the Buvette les Pralet and Grandd Enne, turn left at the junction and follow the fast downhill section of road for a short distance turning off right on the sharp bend to start the forest trail to the Chalet Devant for some of the best views of Lac Leman and the Alps. Pick up the marked cycle path and head up the road and leave it just before Haut Mont and follow the path through meadows and open forest to Vermeilly. From here it is a very fast descent following the road to Arzier, turning sharp left at the fore station into the Gorge des Moinsel. Follow the tracks along the edge of the woods through Bassin and La Vaud offering great views, before completing the loop at Lonirod and following trails back to Begnins
