Itinerary description
This is the east side of the Arcadia Lake trail to spring creek. The trail was very over grown and narrow. Some parts of the trail you couldn't really see that actual trail because of how thick the side brush was. There are also a lot low branches and sand, some very deep sand. The sand near the creek was so deep that my 29x2.2 tires went spokes deep. There is a lot of poison ivy along the trail too.
Some parts of the trail are very easy and straight, while other have a lot of turns. Near the east end of the trail, near the park management building, there are some steep dip/climbs that are fun, but would be hard for noob.
There is a "main" trail and an "alternate" trail. The alternate trail shares a path with main trail a lot of the time, but will veer off for segments. These veers are very poorly marked in many places, and the markings that are there are right at the junction with no warning. There are some junctions where it isn't clear which way is forward and which way is backwards.
Also please be careful, the trail is narrow due to the thick foliage, which also makes it hard to see around corners. It would be very easy to have a head on collision.
Overall I would only recommend this trail if you live nearby and don't want to drive to Stanely Drapper or Lake McMurtry. Especially since Edmond charges to use the trail.
