226. NAVEGANDO POR LA HAMADA. DE ZAGORA A TAFRAUTE SIDI ALI. NAVIGATING THE HAMADA. FROM ZAGORA TO TAFRAUTE SIDI ALI.

Larga etapa de 126 Kms. que discurre íntegramente por Hamadas. Abandonamos la frescura de las palmeras y huertos del valle del Draa, para adentrarnos en el desierto más duro. Si normalmente desierto se asocia a arena, a dunas, lo cierto es que en este lado del Sahara, la mayor parte es de piedra. Provocado por la erosión, las piedras se calientan y se enfrían, con una oscilación térmica diaria a veces de más de 30 grados, terminando por fracturarse. El fin es la existencia de millones de piedras, sobre las que pisa la rueda de nuestra bicicleta.

Practicamente la mitad de la etapa es una pista asfaltada que llega a Tazzarine, sobre la que podemos rodar a gran velocidad. Después nos adentramos en las grandes llanuras, atravesamos lagos secos y pequeñas dunas. Estamos en la inmensa hamada de Ken Ken, en el camino apenas encontramos poblados, como Tissemoumine y Oumjrane Nuestra meta es el pequeño poblado de Tafraute Sidi Ali, finalizando en el Riad Le jardín de Tafraoute.

Esta etapa harás las delicias de aquellos que gusten de las grandes soledades, y la navegación fuera de pista.

Long stage of 126 km that runs entirely through Hamadas. We leave the freshness of the palm trees and orchards of the Draa Valley, to enter the harshest desert. If desert is normally associated with sand, with dunes, the truth is that on this side of the Sahara, most of it is made of stone. Caused by erosion, the stones heat up and cool down, with a daily thermal oscillation sometimes of more than 30 degrees, ending up fracturing. Practically half of the stage is a paved track that reaches Tazzarine, on which we can ride at high speed. Then we enter the great plains, we cross dry lakes and small dunes. We are in the immense hamada of Ken Ken, on the way we hardly find towns, such as Tissemoumine and Oumjrane. Our goal is the small town of Tafraute Sidi Ali, ending at the Riad Le Jardin de Tafraoute.

This stage will delight those who like great solitude, and off-piste navigation.
