Itinerary description
This day we moved from Catac to Chavin de Huantar using the standard road through the tunel de Kahuish at 4516 m. To make the downhill section a little bit more interesting we decided to try some paths left of the road near Jircahuaji. But this section got more and more steep and at last was not ridable any more; so it is not recommended for normal cyclists.We were happy to reach the main road again an pedaled along down to Chavin.
