Itinerary description
This is a great route with fantastic scenery. Long upward section up Dunlickey road until the road diverges. Either direction is possible, but clockwise affords the best views Loop Head / Kerry / Shannon Estuary heading west; & some of the stunning sea cliffs of west Clare on the North flank. Note excursion to "The Castle" fishing spot. The cliff walk can be included for the more adventurous. It is primarily a walk so due consideration please! If castle excursion/cliff walk is omitted this is suitable for all bikes. While we have gone metric, this route is still referred to as "the ten mile"

Hi Matt, that was a good ride.
Next time we got to head to Loop head via knocknagaroon along the coast and back by the south coastline (Rehy) to Carrigaholt.
If we hadn't stopped at the Castle area we would have made it home in about 45 mins. That would be appropriate for that distance.
