Ruta 69. Embalse de Sobrón y sierra de Pancorbo

La mitad de este recorrido corto pero fascinante discurre pegado a los meandros del lago artificial que forma el embalse de Sobrón; la otra mitad, a los pies de la sierra de Pancorbo, por algunos de los parajes más atractivos de toda esta área del norte de Castilla y León. La carretera se encuentra en inmejorables condiciones para rodar relajadamente mientras se disfruta de un entorno privilegiado

Los imponentes farallones emparedan las aguas embalsadas confiriéndoles el aspecto de un lago alpino. Toma el relevo del embalse un paisaje de montes alfombrados de encinas y quejigos. La conducción resulta de lo más divertida

Mi opinión

Creo que el autor se olvida incluir en esta bonita ruta la posibilidad desviarse a Frías y Tobera, dos localidades muy interesantes, una por su peculiar castillo y la otra, por sus cascadas

Dicho lo anterior, las curvas y los túneles de esta ruta permiten probar tu pericia a la hora de conducir

Route 69. Sobrón reservoir and Pancorbo mountain range

Half of this short but fascinating route runs along the meanders of the artificial lake formed by the Sobrón reservoir; the other half, at the foot of the Pancorbo mountain range, through some of the most attractive landscapes of this area in the north of Castilla y León. The road is in excellent condition for relaxed riding while enjoying the privileged surroundings

The imposing cliffs enclose the reservoir waters, giving them the appearance of an alpine lake. The reservoir is replaced by a landscape of mountains carpeted with holm oaks and gall oaks. The driving is a lot of fun

My opinion

I think the author forgets to include in this beautiful route the possibility of detouring to Frías and Tobera, two very interesting towns, one for its peculiar castle and the other for its waterfalls

Having said that, the curves and tunnels of this route allow you to test your driving skills

Very attractive and fun
