Itinerary description

<<< English follows >>>

From the book "The best roads to travel by motorcycle. Spain and Portugal", by Pedro Pardo (Publisher geoPlaneta Nómadas):

Route 66. La Peña mountains

Between the Basque town of Artziniega and the Castile and León town of Espinosa de los Monteros lies a beautiful area, with the enormous limestone walls of the Peña mountains in full view at all times

The section between Espinosa de los Monteros and Villasante de Montija, in the province of Burgos, is a flat, gently undulating route between villages with sturdy houses, very different from the one between Villasante de Montija and Artziniega. The road is a typical mountain road, of humble proportions and blind curves most of the time, and is immersed in enclosed vegetation. It is worthwhile

My opinion

I don't remember this route in a special way
