Amarapura
U Bein, the longest teak bridge in the world, is one of the most visited tourist spots in Myanmar and is located in the city of Amarapura, next to Mandalay. The best time to go to the teak bridge, that of the sunset to see the reflections in the lake of the boatmen crossing the lake. Another good time is early in the morning, to see the monks cross the bridge.
inwaa
We took a boat that seemed to be waiting for any tourist to arrive to depart and we crossed to the other shore. There was a legion of cars pulled by mules and their drivers were responsible to convince you to take one of them. There were not many other options so, at the weary and suffocated pace of those skeletal mules we saw Inwa.
Inwa is water, stupas and vegetation in disorderly alternation dotted with smiling Buddhas and monasteries converted into schools. Inwa is a small parenthesis, an island with potholes in which looking for shade you find dried up treasures.
Sagaing
Sagaing is located on the southwestern shore of Mandalay, about 20 km from the center and 7km from the longest teak bridge in the world, the so-called U Bein. From the shore of Mandalay you can get to see the succession of hills of Sagaging with its temples at each top and hanging bridges to access them.
Min Kun
It stands out for the Mingun Paya, a huge unfinished pagoda, Myatheindan Pagoda and a gigantic 90-ton bell - the largest bell of bell not figured in the world.
