Itinerary description

Day kicked off meeting Alex Ayala, Juan Rendon, Toño Mendes, Fernando Pompa and brothers Ivan & Erick. Started early with a traditional American breakfast at the Mill Creek Coffee before heading to one of the top-rated drives in North America commonly referred to as the Three Sisters or Twisted Sisters, Highways 335, 336, and 337 in the heart of the region better known as the Hill Country Trail. This particular part of Texas was densely populated by German immigrants in the 19th century, names of towns have a germanic "Klang", thus later came the creation of the Verein zum Schutz deutscher Einwanderer in Texas. These panoramic rural highways well marketed as Three Twisted Sisters are mostly visited by bikers from all the south and midwest in Harleys, while the rest of us in GS bikes, sports cars and anything that will give you the thrills in the hilly windy roads. We headed for lunch to the religious stop at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Shop and Restaurant where a large Harley Biker gathering was taking place, we felt like real strangers in between the cruiser "bad boys" in leather jackets, tattoos and needless to say riding helmet less, real way of life adventure seekers!! I must add that my riding skills are bit rusted busted, but planning to head out more often to the road once back home. Glad to be back in the Hill Country!! The new 6 riding pals, simply outstanding bikers but foremost all with a great character to mold a well rounded and prepared motorcycle group.
