Akşemsettin Türbesi (from Ottoman)

Akşemsettin was born in Damascus in 1389, although he later moved to Amasya where he studied languages and medicine, becoming one of the first people to explore the significance of germs. He became an associate of the famous Islamic teacher Haci Bayram-ı Veli and served as tutor to Mehmet the Conqueror. Eventually he retired to Göynük, where he died in 1450. His simple tomb can be seen in the copse beside the 14th century Gazi Süleyman Paşa Camii. His two sons were buried bside him; his wife and daughters are interred outdoors.

Lake Abant (Turkish: Abant Gölü) is a freshwater lake in Turkey's Bolu Province in northwest Anatolia, formed as a result of a great landslide. The lake lies at an altitude of 1,328 m (4,357 ft) at a distance of 32 km (20 mi) from the provincial seat of Bolu city. It is a favorite vacation and excursion spot for both Turkish and foreign travellers thanks to the natural beauty of its surroundings, which are covered with dense forests, and easy access by car (it is served by a 21 km (13 mi) road leaving from the İstanbul-Ankara motorway O-4 or the highway D.100 at the level of Mount Bolu, three hours' drive from these two largest cities of Turkey). Lake Abant is a natural park. https://www.wikiloc.com/outdoor-trails/kocaeli-akcakoca-10236091#wp-10236098/photo-6153728
