Itinerary description
|
Start of the day visiting Mostar and its old town with the famous Stari Most bridge. In sweltering heat and crowds of people, I head to Tekija Blagaj Monastery in 37 degree shade. From there, head towards Montenegro, crossing the Sutjeska National Park. I continue along a paved road but in very poor condition and with a lot of garbage in its ditches to Montenegro. After crossing the border (passport and green insurance card required) the landscape changes spectacularly, with endless tunnels and the deep gorge over the Piva River.
