Itinerary description
This trip is a great way to see the western side of the Sydney CBD from the water. The trip cost A$110 (for 6 people) and took about 20 minutes. You go under the Harbour Bridge, then to East Balmain, past the new cruise ship mooring. You can see the Barangaroo area, then the water taxi goes through the old swing bridge, under the ANZAC bridge and to the Fish Markets.
The taxis are normally available outside the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), there is normally one moored there waiting. You need to discuss the cost with the driver, the Internet suggests about A$140 for this trip. We only paid A$110.
You can stop for something to eat at the Fish Market. We then walked around Blackwattle Bay to the Jubilee Park Light Rail stop and caught the Light Rail back to central (cost $2.10 each person). An alternative would be to walk back towards Pyrmont to return to the City.
