Itinerary description

We arrive at Ginosar, where the jetty is located. There we advanced through the breakwater to board the boat that would take us on the short journey.
The lake is spectacular. Lake or Sea of Galilee or Lake of Gennesaret or Lake of Kinneret.
The first thing that surprises you is that it is at -206 meters above sea level. I had never been at a negative altitude, below sea level.
The scenery is also spectacular. In front, the Golan mountains, on the left side the city of Tiberias, on the mountain and a little further behind Mount Arbel with its very steep and almost vertical walls, like cliffs.
On the other side some small mountains with towns and vegetation.
The lake with 21 km long and a maximum width of 12 km. Surface of 166 square kilometers, average depth: 25.6 meters, maximum of 40 meters.
The journey is very beautiful, full of meaning. This is what Jesus must have done with his disciples many times. The miraculous fishing, Peter walks on the waters, the beatitudes, the promise of the Eucharist, the Primacy of Peter, Capernaum, etc. Many events about the life of Jesus...
