Boat route from the port of Mahmudia along the river and the canals of the Danube Delta.
First we go down one of the main arms of the Danube, that of San Jorge, and shortly after we get into small canals, which link beautiful lagoons such as Uzlina, Isac and Gorgova. Throughout the tour we see many birds, mainly pelicans, swans, seagulls, cormorants, geese, coots and white herons, and some kingfishers, imperial heron and even an eagle.
The departure was organized in the accommodation where we were in Mahmudia with a person from the area who knew both the river and the birds of the delta. To enter the Danube Delta National Park you need to have a permit that can be paid online from www.ddbra.ro/en .
