8-8-2019. Nærøyfjord is part of Sognefjord which is Norway's largest and deepest fjord. The fjords were formed by glaciers thousands of years ago. The Nærøyfjord can be reached from Flam to Gudvangen by boat. This route was made with the Premium Vessel which is 100% electrically powered to prevent contamination. Nærøyfjord is on the UNESCO World Heritage List because of its unparalleled beauty and has been designated the world's # 1 natural heritage site along with the Geirangerfjord by the National Geographic Society. The route marks 22 large waterfalls with the symbols WF1 - WF22.
