And the day of going from South Island (more lonely) to the North Island (more Maori and populated) had already arrived.
The ferry is taken to Picton, some narrow canals enter and you reach the open sea, between the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea. They are very well-conditioned boats, with a restaurant and coffee and all of them have a VIP lounge.
We made a part of the crossing on deck (with an excellent airt) and the rest in comfortable seats at the bow, with a magnificent view.
