Ferry tour to the two islands (spectacular viewpoints of the Manhattan skyline) with their corresponding passages on both islands to visit them. The Immigration Museum is visited on Ellis Island, as this was the entry point for immigrants who came by boat to venture into a new life. It is an interesting museum and it is worth using a good time to soak up all this history. On the other hand, of course, you can not miss the climb to the Statue of Liberty on the neighboring island, for which you must make an appointment in advance. It is also a spectacle to contemplate the statue from below and turn it around.
The two islands are perfectly connected by ferry with Manhattan, with regular service at a reasonable price.
