Itinerary description

Collier County's Wiggins Pass Marina boat ramp (launch fee $4 for paddlecraft) is the launch point. It's a concrete ramp, and you'll be launching alongside powerboats. There's a marina store that opens about 7 AM or earlier. Plenty of parking and toilets on site.

Head west to the channel and then north until you hit Bonita Beach Road and look for the bridge. There are some interesting side trips on the way if you're not in a hurry. Watch for powerboats. Most don't slow down, and in certain areas, the channel is narrow.

You can continue north into Estero Bay and out Big Hickory Pass to the Gulf and back south to Wiggins Pass if you're feeling strong. However, it'll add about 6 miles to the trip.
