Itinerary description
Walked in the 1.7 miles with the kayaks on carts. A bluebird day!!! There is a sandy beach for launching, about 200' to the north of the tour boat dock. We set out across the shallow western part of the pond in a force 4, southerly breeze which kicked up 1 foot white caps on our beam. At the mouth of the fjord, the breeze dropped to calm for the next 3 hours. We got some great photos of the cliffs and waterfalls. The whole length of the fjord is stunning. The breeze came up to force 5 as we got to the eastern end which raised white caps and clapotis, which made for slow progress out of the fjord. The breeze dropped to force 2 directly at us, as we exited the fjord.
There is a sandy landing area very near waypoint: "photos 8:30", and a very nice, large landing area at waypoint "10:15 lunch".

Wow, awesome trip! We took the boat along the fjord August 2015 and jumped off at the end to do the Long Range Traverse. The water was choppy the day we went. Great photo of Pissing Mare falls!
