Itinerary description
9+ feet at Oberlin gauge made this a great paddle. River was wide and had enough water that all downed trees were under water and no dangerous strainers or portages. Water was still low enough to access some sand bars, but at any lower levels strainers and portages will become a factor.
River put in and take out were somewhat muddy, but not that bad. Excellent access and parking at Hwy. 26. Limited access and parking at Reed's Bridge Rd., but workable. This time of the year, no issues with overcrowding.
