Itinerary description
The launch is near the east end of the SR 92 Bridge at Goodland. There's a clear area on the south side for parking and a ramp down to the water's edge that's driveable as long as you stop before going into the water (just joking). The launch is fairly flat and easy. There's no fee and the area is well used.
This trail goes west, then north under the bridge up the Big Marco River and farther north take the right fork up Turtle Creek. Follow the creek up to Addison Bay, but there are many little cuts off to the right and left as you follow the creek if you don't want to do the whole loop. Areas get shallow in low tide.
After you hit Addison Bay, loop back west and south to the Big Marco River. There is high-speed large boat traffic in the river at times, so if you don't like boat wakes, think about going back the way you came. We have seen dolphins, manatees, and very large fish in the river if you go that way.
