Itinerary description
Short and easy trip in see-through hybrids of kayaks/canoes along the coastline. Went out from Marienlyst Strand (Marienlyst Beach), and rowed along the beautiful, tall coast with forest and trees right down to the water. At high tide, it is possible to row underneath the trees as they reach out over the Limfjord. Lots to look at (you might be lucky enough to spot one or two kingfishers), lots of crabs, tiny fish, and mussels to see through the bottom of the kayaks. Rowed to Hagensmølle Å (Hagensmølle Stream) which is a spawning ground for seatrouts in the fjord so plenty of seagulls there, and back again to Marienlyst Strand. It is possible to rent the kayaks with www.visionkayak.com
Very easy and safe fjord. The route is completely sheltered from any wind from the West. No waves, no undercurrent.
