Itinerary description
This is a great river for kayaking and using it as a base to explore the surrounding jungle, which is dense and hilly. It is particularly atmospheric at night, when there is no moon. You can ground your kayak at a number of places on the eastern bank and go for a walk in the jungle, or you can kayak about 6 KMs round the bend and then walk a track into the Cardamom Mountains. The kayaking itself is easy; the walking less so.
