Itinerary description

16 cars, 24 boats to a state forest road to a pea gravel and sand inside turn launch in the woods. Shallow water paddle without pullout. Local fauna focus was the eastern white cedar compared to the western red cedar. Good current, clear and clean water with more tannins. Much blow down to manage which kept things mostly single file. 2 miles in of a 8.5 mile trip lunch break was taken as available areas down stream were not confirmed. Perfect temps, solid blue, cooling wind in direct sunlight, quiet, no habitable structures, still can easily see the bottom. Paddled 8.5 miles.

Forest was being actively burned and affected the last mile of the trip. That and the bloodhounds and cops and the guy they were searching for. Would still recommend.
