Itinerary description
The launch is near the east end of the SR 92 Bridge at Goodland. There's a clear area on the south side for parking and a ramp down to the water's edge that's driveable as long as you stop before going into the water (just joking... or maybe not). The launch is fairly flat and easy. There's no fee, and the area is well used.
From the launch, head ENE across Goodland Bay to Hell's Gate (can have strong tidal currents) and through Palm Bay, and toward the ESE through the pass at the lower end of the Bay. From there, you can take many paths to and from Blackwater Bay. There are shoals and sand bars, and oyster bars to beware of at low tide. We paddle a "beater" and don't worry about dings or scratches.
