Itinerary description

The launch is near the east end of the SR 92 Bridge at Goodland. There's a clear area on the south side for parking and a ramp down to the water's edge that's driveable as long as you stop before going into the water (just joking). The launch is fairly flat and easy. There's no fee and the area is well used.

From the launch, head ENE across Goodland Bay to Hell's Gate and through Palm Bay. You can look at historical aerials on Google Earth to see where the sand bars and deeper channels are. The river past Grocery Place is plenty deep all the way to Mud Bay, but Mud Bay's name is well-deserved. Be wary of falling tides.

The paddle is easy, but long. Navigation is easy. Lots of wildlife.
