Gaspé Bay is a natural environment rich in food for marine mammals. During the tourist season you can see up to seven different species of whales: blue, common, humpback whales and minke whales, as well as black whale, white-sided dolphin and harbor porpoise.
Phocids are also part of this easily observable fauna: harbor seals, gray seals and more sporadically, harp seals and hooded seals can be identified from angles that only the kayak can observe.
